Staying true to my love of chocolate and peanut butter, I experimented with these! A little oatmeal, dollop of peanut butter, dash of hot chocolate mix, & BOOM! You have a complex-flavored, yet not-too-difficult to make cookie!
Peanut Butter Oatmeal Hot Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup peanut butter
5 1-oz packets of hot chocolate mix (or 1/2 cup + 1/8 cup)
2 cups flour
1 cup oats (old fashioned or quick-cooking oats)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, hot chocolate mix, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, and sugars until fluffy. Then add in the eggs & vanilla and beat well. Slowly add in the flour mixture, while beating at a slow speed. Add in the oats & chocolate chips and stir in with a wooden spoon until all well combined.
Drop by rounded teaspoon or tablespoon onto a cookie sheet (lined with parchment paper to prevent burned edges/easy clean up)! Bake in the oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are just set. Cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet and then remove to a cooling rack to cool completely.
These will make you kitchen smell AMAZING too!!
