Looking for a chocolaty-sweet, crunchy treat? Try this!
Technically it’s a holiday thing, but there’s really no reason to limit what time of year you make it! Only a few ingredients, and pretty easy! I made the ones in the slideshow around Christmas time 🙂
ButterCrunch
Ingredients:
1 sleeve of saltines
2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup pulverized nuts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Line a jelly-roll pan with foil. Spray with foil. Place the saltines in a single layer on the sheet.
Melt butter & sugar in a pot on the stop and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour the mixture over the saltine crackers and spread evenly. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and return to the oven for 3 minutes. Remove from the oven and evenly spread the chocolate. Sprinkle with the nuts. Score the chocolate with a knife. Then place in the fridge for about an hour. Break/cut along the scored lines.
Enjoy!!
