Not just any bakeoff, a FierceBakeOff!!

It’s a Wednesday. Hump day– the middle of the work week.  After you get through it the weekend is officially in sight.

What could make hump day worth looking forward to?? An end-of-day bakeoff!! But this isn’t your average bakeoff, it is a


*Must use* ingredient? Cheese!
Rules? The goods must be baked, must be sweet (not savory), and must contain at least one type of cheese.
What’s it all judged on? 10 points each for Originality, Presentation, Taste, and Cheesiness, for a possible 40 points total.

Complete with a bar…

Strawberry Cheesecake Jello Shots with graham cracker crumbs (perrfect!!)…

and some cheeseless brownies (SO GOOD)!

Bavarian Cheese Tort with Almonds, Apples, and Cream Cheese.

All 7 entries were FANTASTIC!! Everyone was creative and brought in super-delicious treats!

After all the votes were counted, the results were….

In third place: Raspberry, Goat Cheese, & Almond Empanadas

In second place:  Bavarian Cheese Tort with Almonds, Apples, and Cream Cheese

In first place, Chocolate Red Wine Cake with a Chèvre and Cream Cheese Swirl, frosted with Mascarpone Whipped Cream

Wooohoooo! I won!

I was (and am) very excited!! I love baking and love when other people enjoy what I make!
